‘ELEGANCE MEETS CALCULATED PRECISION’
Client: Empathy Inc.
Role: Mural Artist | Project: Agency Office Feature wall – 2022
Pop Art, Tension/Contrast/Duality, and Uplifting were key words for agency Empathy Inc.
I focused on the logic/creativity tension found in performance driven industries by capturing the moment high jumpers look most effortless; countless hours of strategic physical and mental training… culminating into a surrendered flow.
It’s sports but there’s an art to it, and we know because of their limitations: in the moment they look most in-tune, we can’t take our eyes off the rope.
Jing’s Mural
Client: Commissioned – Residential Mural – Dec 2020
Medium: Indoor safe aerosol. Dimensions: 6 x 13ft
Inspired by ‘Bloom’
Looking for a statement piece over their staircase, the client commissioned me to create a 6x13ft mural in a similar style to my artwork at King Street West & Tecumseth.
After touring the space I noted their distinctive interior design style. We discussed accounting for the abundant daylight and a plan to reach the wall 10ft off the staircase (made possible by custom scaffolding). Then I created several part floral, part glitch designs – a playful combination of organic elements and methodical patterns.
The final mural’s pink & blue colours follows the horizon line -- matching the pink hues of the sunsets and the blues of the lake views.
